I’m getting way ahead of myself on the GB Studio project by acquiring one of these, but this neat little board also came in handy backing up game progress for when my collection’s save batteries inevitably die.

Haven’t posted in a while, but that doesn’t mean I’m out of the game.

In the spring of last year, I had the opportunity to play in my first remote Tabletop RPG (Star Wars), and while it didn’t last long, I had a really good time! Next thing I know, I’m reading the D&D Player’s Handbook and designing a mimic dice box as a gift for the friend who introduced me to it all.

Got a 1st-gen GBA approximately 1,000 years ago back in February, and finally got around to making a mount for it. Since most of the groundwork was laid in the original set, the effort was thankfully as minimal as the design.

Originally planned as a post-sabbatical project, but all my GameBoy stuff was piling up, and I just couldn’t help myself.

First 3D printing and video game combo project!

For obvious reasons (you know, like knowing nothing about making video games), I’d never participated in a Game Jam before this one. Since MakeCode Arcade is so intuitive and easy to pick up, and with the theme being a 5-second minigame in the thread of Warioware, I knew I had to come up with at least one entry.

I recently picked up an old GameBoy Color and have been reacquiring some of my favorite games from childhood. Because entropy will always increase in a closed system, most second-hand cartridges lack the original cases. This… will not do.

And the Trogdor comes in the NIIIIiiiiIIIIIGHT!

My first gaming project ever using Microsoft MakeCode Arcade!
