Dinosaur Princess

Earlier this year when I asked my daughter what she wanted as her 4th Birthday Party theme, she had two words to say:

DINOSAUR PRINCESS!

This was followed by a full stream of conscience discussion of the particulars for the party, but in that moment I knew that my main task would have to be sculpting this Dinosaur Princess to life in Blender.

Hours of designing and prototyping (I’m still not that fluid in my knowledge of Blender. This is why the tiara, scepter, and sword were designed in Fusion 360), and twenty-four printed copies later: the party favors are complete.

Helpful Tools:

3D Printer (or printing service)

SUPERTite glue

Post-processing files or sanding tools (to clean up supports)

1. Print out Parts

Files can be found on MyMiniFactory

March 2020 UPDATE: Files can be downloaded directly from this site at the bottom of the page.  They are also available on Prusa Printers!

Supports only required on DinosaurPrincess. The rest of the components don’t really need any help in that area. Her accessories are quite small though, so if you need to add a brim here or there, that’s understandable.

2. Assemble Scepter

Dinosaur Princess is a benevolent sovereign.

Add a small amount of glue into the recess of DP-Jewel and press DP-Scepter into it.

3. Assemble Sword

Dinosaur Princess is a defender of justice.

Using a little glue to hold everything in place, press DP-SwordBlade and DP-SwordHandle into the opposite ends of DP-SwordHilt.

3. Instate

Dinosaur Princess rules.

Apply a small amount of glue to the recessed area of DinosaurPrincess’s head, and press DP-Tiara into it.

If you so choose, you can glue either of her royal items into her hand, or you can swap them out whenever or however you please.
